Ike Aftermath Pics

As promised, Ike aftermath pics....I hope you like!! These are all taken by me with my Canon Eos Rebel DSLR camera, it's my baby, I'm no pro, but they aren't too too bad!!!
These photos are from around town (I'll caption them so you'll know what you are looking at!!):
These are of a Taqueria on North Main in Baytown

These are pictures down on the north end of Garth Road (one of our main roads in Baytown)

This is a medical office building that was in the process of being built.

It was 3 stories high....it completely collapsed on top of itself.

Leaning power lines

This is Texas Ave., the more historical part of our city

These are pics from the other side of town on another main street, Alexander.
These are from a body shop on Alexander

Gas Station in front of Krogers

Conns on Alexander

Citgo on Massey Tompkins

This is a cemetary down the road from our city park. Goose Creek (which is one of our big creeks) runs right along side of it, and just like everything else gets fed from the Bay, the creek was up the highest I've ever seen it too.

This is Goose Creek which is right next to the cemetery

Cemetery

This is on the road headed towards the cemetary and Goose Creek (above).
It wasn't all flooded, just this part of the road was. This street is also
right in front of our city park (shown below)
The following photos were taken on Ferry Road in front of Cedar Bayou Methodist church. Ferry Road is known for flooding in heavy rains, but I've never seen it like this. You can see in the first picture the water rescess line (where all the debris is) and that is how high it got. About 6 or more inches got into the church. They are having to tear up the floors, pews and sheet rock in that beautiful church. It just breaks my heart.

The following four are from our town park, this is where we have our 4th of July Fireworks and stuff, the college I attend is in the background.

The following pictures are from FI's neighborhood:

The following is from a neighborhood out on the bay that feeds in from the Gulf of Mexico, they have high elevation for being on the water, but the water still rose up ALOT!
